PERSON IN CHARGE OF FIRE PREVENTION (LEGISLATIVE DECREE 81/08)
DESCRIPTION OF THE COURSE:
The course includes the training of the staff assigned to the fire emergency management, and it will form people according to the D.M. 10/03/98.
The fire warden course for companies with a medium risk of fire will concern the following subjects:
- blaze and fire prevention;
- procedure to be taken in case of fire;
- fire drill (use of fire extinguisher, fire hydrant..)
On the other side the fire warden course for companies with a low risk of fire will concern the following subjects:
- combustion;
- substances that extinguish fire;
- prevention and protection measures;
- use of free flames, welding and metal cutting;
- preventive behaviour;
At the end of the course will be given a certificate of attendance, in accordance with current regulation.
We also organise high risk courses with the help of the fire department and these courses will last 16 hours divided in this way:
Blaze and fire prevention ( 4 hours)
- Fundamentals of combustion and substances that extinguishfire
- Main fire causes related to a specific workplace
- Risks for people and environment
- Precautionary measures and behaviour to prevent blaze
The importance of the supervision of workplace, checks and fire-fighting principles’ upkeep
Firefighting protection (4 hours)
- Passive protection measures
- Emergency extits, compartmentalization, distancing
- Extinguishment equipment and systems
- Alarm systems and safety signalization
- Electrical systems and emergency lighting
Procedures in case of emergency (4 hours)
- Procedures to apply in case of emergency and fire
- Fire emergency evacuation plan and rescue services call
- Collaboration with firefighters in case of intervention
- Emergency situation exemplification and operating – procedural instructions
Practice exercise ( 4 hours)
- Viewed and clarification on equipment, extinguishment systems and personal protective device (masks, self-protectors, suits, etc.)
- Exercises on the use of Extinguishment equipment and personal protection
Possible final exam, theoretical and practical, with fire department (4 hours)
